Truss Build Day

We have been collaborating with Vertical Art Dance for the last several months, taking countless measurements, and planning how to maximize the number of aerial points we can fit in our new space. And now that it’s officially on the schedule, it’s starting to feel pretty real!
We are needing volunteers to help build our truss. Read on for more info!

We’ll be assembling Wise Fool’s new custom aerial truss at our studio, and we need a team of volunteers to help make it happen.
- The build will take place over two shifts (morning and afternoon).
- Expect to work 4 hours per shift, with a brief lunch break in between.
- The full day will likely run from 9:00am–5:30pm, with final times confirmed in the coming weeks.
- Space is limited to 10 volunteers per shift, so please sign up early if you’d like to participate!
- Don’t skip signing VAD’s waiver, which is included in the volunteer form (and also linked below)
What To Bring
- Closed-toed shoes/sneakers
- Appropriate clothing for physical labor
- Ear plugs or other ear protection (there will be extensive hammering, which can get loud)
- Work Gloves
- Lunch
Safety
You must be comfortable lifting and moving between 30 – 50 lbs.
Please do not invite additional people to the build day as it can become disorganized & dangerous. Only those who have signed up ahead of time are permitted to attend.
Absolutely no bare feet OR jewelry such as wedding rings, long necklaces/earrings, or expensive watches. These items can become damaged or worse – cause you injury during a build.
