Our weekly drop-in classes make it easy to try new skills, stay active, and have fun with circus arts at your own pace. We offer a variety of classes for different experience levels, from the absolute beginner to a seasoned professional. Aerial classes are open to students 16 and up, while many of our ground-based classes are all ages. Come see what circus can do for you!
Class Descriptions
Aerial Classes
Aerial fabric (also known as aerial silks) is a long piece of fabric rigged from above that you can climb, wrap around your body, and perform dynamic drops from. Fabrics are the apparatus most folks picture when they hear “aerial.” This discipline offers a fun way to build core strength, flexibility, and confidence while defying gravity.
Class Levels
- Introductory: Never been on fabric before? This class is perfect for those curious but not yet airborne! You’ll learn introductory vocabulary, techniques, conditioning, and how to build body awareness – all while getting comfortable being off the ground.
No experience needed. Welcoming to all body sizes, genders, and fitness levels. - Foundational: Ready to build your foundational knowledge of aerial fabrics? Further develop techniques to dance in the air. You’ll learn fundamental climbs, wraps, and sequences designed to build strength and develop your creative expression.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with Introductory skills (footlocks, standard climb, Angel Down, and Elsie Cross) - Continuing: With a solid base under your belt, dive deeper into fabric skills like climbing, wraps, foot-locks, and drops. You’ll learn longer sequences, build transitions, and begin to explore dynamic movement.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with skills & sequences through Level 3 - Advanced: This level focuses on refining technique, building endurance, and mastering complex skills and choreography. Expect intricate wraps, advanced drops, and creative sequencing. Individual coaching will help push your artistry and technical ability to the next level.
Prerequisite: Inverts, familiarity with skills & sequences through Level 6
Lyra, or aerial hoop, is a steel ring suspended from above, offering a stable and versatile platform for movement above, inside, and below the hoop. It combines strength, flexibility, and grace—allowing for both elegant shapes and dynamic momentum-based skills. Lyra is a great way to build coordination, upper body strength, and creative expression in the air. Studio uses double-point lyras.
CLASS LEVELS
- Introductory: Brand new to lyra? This class introduces you to the basics of mounting the hoop, seated poses, under-the-bar movement, and supported hangs. You’ll build confidence in the air while developing strength and mobility.
No experience needed. Welcoming to all body sizes, genders, and fitness levels. - Foundational: Build your foundation! You’ll expand on lyra vocabulary, basic shapes and transitions, explore movement in and around the hoop, and conditioning exercises to support more complex skills later on.
- Continuing: This level focuses on refining technique and introducing more dynamic elements like beats, rolls, and spinning. You’ll develop strength, fluidity, and control as you work on sequences that combine shapes, transitions, and utilizing space below, above, and inside the hoop.
- Advanced: Push your artistry and athleticism to the next level. Advanced lyra classes include challenging dynamic movement, complex transitions, and spin control, along with exploration of creative sequencing and performance quality.
Static trapeze is one of the most iconic circus arts, featuring a horizontal bar suspended by two ropes. It combines strength, balance, momentum, and creativity as you explore movement above, below, and around the bar. Trapeze is an excellent way to build aerial awareness, coordination, and full-body strength while discovering your own artistic expression in the air.
CLASS LEVELS
- Introductory: Brand new to trapeze? This is your spot. In this welcoming class, you’ll explore the basics of getting on and off the bar, supported hangs, shapes under the bar, and simple poses—all while building strength and confidence.
No experience needed. Welcoming to all body sizes, genders, and fitness levels. - Foundational: Start building your foundation! You’ll develop body awareness and strength through beginner poses, balances, and transitions around the bar and ropes. The focus is on proper technique, building endurance, and beginning to link movements together.
- Continuing: Ready for more height and challenge? At this level, you’ll refine your technique and explore dynamic skills, including rolls, beats, and fluid transitions between bar and ropes. You’ll also begin to work on short sequences, vocabulary, and creative movement.
- Advanced: Take your trapeze skills to new heights! Advanced students will work on complex sequences, dynamic movements like drops and beats, and developing their personal style and artistry. Expect to deepen your endurance, control, and creativity through focused coaching and choreography.
Build strength, endurance, and body awareness! Flight Lab focuses on aerial conditioning through a mix of both floor and aerial exercises. Fantastic cross-training for all apparatuses.
Students will rotate through a variety of exercises designed to target core stability, upper- and lower-body power, and mobility that supports safe and dynamic aerial work.
CLASS LEVELS
- All Levels: Truly open to all levels, including those who have never tried aerial before!
- Trapeze Focus: A challenging aerial conditioning class designed to build the strength and control needed for more advanced skills, with a focus on static trapeze.
Prerequisites: Ability to hold an inversion for 5-10 seconds.
Ground Classes
Explore the delightful art of being silly! Clowning is a powerful performing arts discipline that utilizes movement, emotion, improvisation, and stage presence. Students will develop comedic timing, character work, and expressiveness. This is a safe and supportive place to experiment and let your inner clown shine.
Discover the world of flow arts in this playful, movement-based class! Students will explore a variety of props while learning the fundamentals of coordination, rhythm, and flow.
Focus will rotate weekly between staff, hoop, poi, and fans.
CLASS LEVELS
- Introductory: No experience required! With a focus on building comfort and creativity, this class offers a supportive space for absolute beginners as well as those looking to expand into new props and patterns.
Learn the art of juggling in this fun, skill-building class! With a focus on balls and clubs, students will develop coordination, rhythm, and technique while exploring the foundations of object manipulation.
The class is open to both beginners and those with some prior experience, with opportunities to try out a variety of props and build new tricks at your own pace.
Conditioning & More
Build strength, endurance, and body awareness! Flight Lab focuses on aerial conditioning through a mix of both floor and aerial exercises. Fantastic cross-training for all apparatuses.
Students will rotate through a variety of exercises designed to target core stability, upper- and lower-body power, and mobility that supports safe and dynamic aerial work.
CLASS LEVELS

Flex Lab focuses on building flexibility while also developing the strength and body engagement needed to safely support your range of motion. Students will work through dynamic and static stretches, mobility drills, and conditioning exercises designed to meet a variety of bodies and experience levels.
CLASS LEVELS
- All Levels: Modifications are offered throughout, making the class both accessible for beginners and challenging for those looking to push their limits.
No experience needed. Welcoming to all body sizes, genders, and fitness levels. - Continuing: Designed for those wanting to push the limits of their body’s capabilities, this class builds strength and flexibility with a focus on backbends and splits mobility. This class offers challenging progressions for students with some prior experience.
Prerequisites: Ability to hold a bridge (backbend on hands & feet) for at least 5 seconds
Time set aside to give students an opportunity to practice what they’ve been learning in class. We ask that students have taken at least 2 aerial classes with Wise Fool.
Supervised but not a led class. No registration necessary for drop-ins
