New Series and Drop-In Classes are Here!
Happy New Year, Wise Fool Community! We’re still soaking up all the excitement and warmth from our Winter Cabaret last weekend—what a phenomenal welcome for our new studio, with three sold out shows and a slew of incredible performances. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, or came to see the magic of circus in action.
Keeping the momentum going, we’re eager to announce our first session of classes for this year, including both series and drop-in options. Not sure what the difference is?
- Series classes build on themselves week by week, following a pre-planned curriculum carefully crafted by your coach to work up to new and exciting skills. You sign up for the full series at the time of registration, and are allowed three make-up passes per session in case you need to miss a week.
- Drop-in classes offer more flexibility for folks with fluctuating schedules; you pay as you go, and the instructor does their best to tailor each class to the interests and goals of the group that week.

Here’s a closer look at the series offerings available starting this month:

Classes will explore musicality, transitions, dynamic phrasing, and performance quality while building a short sequence over the course of the series. Apparatus options include trapeze, fabric, rope, and lyra—or students can bring their own apparatus with prior approval.
Prerequisites: Foundational skills on any approved aerial apparatus

And here are our drop-in offerings this session:

Aerial Fabrics | Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday | Lisa Bartley
The typical apparatus most folks picture when they hear “aerial,” aerial fabric (also known as aerial silks) involves climbing and wrapping a long fabric around your body—and even performing dynamic drops, too! This discipline offers a fun way to build core strength, flexibility, and confidence while defying gravity.
Introductory Level | Wednesdays 2-3:30 pm | $36 / class
Never been on fabric before? This class is perfect for those curious but not yet airborne!
Foundational Level | Mondays 5:30-7 pm | $36 / class
Ready to build your foundational knowledge of aerial fabrics? Further develop techniques to dance in the air. Also great for those returning after a break.
Continuing Level | Saturdays 1:30-3 pm | $36 / class
Take your practice to the next level. Dive deeper into fabric skills like drops and complex wraps with a solid base under your belt.

Static Trapeze | Tuesdays | Lisa Bartley
Static trapeze is one of the most iconic circus arts, featuring a horizontal bar suspended by two ropes. It combines strength, balance, momentum, and creativity as you explore movement above, below, and around the bar.
Continuing Level | Tuesdays 9:15-10:45 AM | $36 / class
Ready for more height and challenge in your trapeze practice? At this level, you’ll refine your technique and explore dynamic skills, including rolls, beats, and fluid transitions between bar and ropes.

Flexibility & conditioning | Fridays | Miles Jackson
Our flight and flex labs help develop your strength, body engagement, and flexibility with emphasis on safely supporting your body’s range of motion. These classes are great supplements to existing aerial practices, or a good place to start building your confidence if you’ve never tried before. (They’re excellent cross-training for other practices, as well!)
Flight Lab, Trapeze Focus | Fridays 10-11:30 Am | $36 / class
A challenging aerial conditioning class designed to build the strength and control needed for more advanced skills, with a focus on static trapeze. Students will condition with exercises such as pull-up progressions and inversion drills, developing power, stamina, and body awareness. The class is a great one to maintain strength across all bar apparatuses, and also provides excellent cross-training for vertical apparatuses like fabric, rope, or pole.
Prerequisites: Ability to hold an inversion for 5-10 seconds.
Flex Lab – Continuing | Fridays 11:45-12:45 Pm | $27 / class
Designed for those wanting to push the limits of their body’s capabilities, this class builds strength and flexibility with a focus on backbends and splits mobility. Using tools like resistance bands and stability balls, students will work through targeted drills to increase active flexibility, even out imbalances, and support healthy progress in their training. This class offers challenging progressions for students with some prior experience.
Prerequisites: Ability to hold a bridge (backbend on hands & feet) for at least 5 seconds recommended.

Open Studio | Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays | $20 / Visit
Practice what you’ve been learning in class! This supervised but non-instructional time can be used for your creative development. You must have taken at least a session’s worth of Intro classes, or have coach approval to train aerial or high-risk disciplines. Ground disciplines or general exercise practices also welcome.
Open Studio times are as follows throughout the session:
- Mondays 11-12:30pm
- Thursdays 2-3:30pm
- Thursdays 6:45-8:15pm
- Fridays 6-7:30pm
Whew, that’s a pretty packed schedule! We hope you saw something in there that piqued your curiosity—whether it’s trying something totally new or continuing to expand an existing skillset—and we’ll see you in our new studio soon 🥳
Cheers to a new year—may yours be filled with hope, community, and (of course) circus.
