Curious about aerial arts but not sure where to begin? Join us for this free 90-minute introduction to the exciting world of aerial!

Prerequisites : No previous experience is necessary. Welcoming to all body sizes, genders, and fitness levels. Ages 13+

When: Saturday, April 15 from 11 am – 12:30 pm

In this welcoming, beginner-friendly class, you’ll have the opportunity to explore four different aerial apparatus: Lyra (aerial hoop), Fabrics (silks), Hammock, and Trapeze.

Our experienced coaches will guide you through the fundamentals of each apparatus, helping you build confidence, learn basic skills, and discover which style speaks to you.

After completing the class, participants will receive an exclusive 15% discount toward a class pack, membership, or series class for use in the upcoming session.

Meet the coaches

Lisa Bartley

Lisa performs and coaches at Wise Fool NM in a variety of disciplines with a focus on aerial arts. She began her circus journey at Wise Fool in 2008 and has been enjoying the strength she has gained from the experience both inside and out. When she is not performing, training, or teaching circus, Lisa supports those with disabilities in the mental health field. She enjoys her down time being in nature, in community, and snuggling with her two pups.

Kristen Woods

Kristen is a third generation New Mexican who grew up in Santa Fe. She performs and coaches with Wise Fool and AirDance New Mexico. She has performed at the Santa Fe Opera, for a crowd of 70,000 at Zozobra, and at events and shows throughout New Mexico. She has committed her career to sharing the joy of circus with her state. Her work explores how movement can address place, social and environmental justice, and the personal.
