Day of Mourning
November 27, 2025
Tomorrow is the Day of Mourning.
Our organization operates on the unceded Tewa lands known as O’ga P’ogeh – White Shell Water Place. In honor of this holiday, we’d like to take the focus off of our own organization this week. Instead, we implore you to honor and support local Indigenous-led organizations that do amazing work in our communities.
Donate. Volunteer. Educate yourselves. Uplift Indigenous knowledge, sovereignty, and stewardship.
Three Sisters Collective
Three Sisters Collective is a Pueblo/Indigenous women-led organization that engages in a land-based Rematriation praxis that restores wellness and uplifts traditional lifeways with an emphasis on art, advocacy, education, and community building.
We were blessed to have gotten to collaborate with founding member, Dr. X, as the show director for our 2023 production ReUnite.
O'ga P'ogeh Land Tax
The OPLT is a grassroots elective land tax project in O’ga P’ogeh (Santa Fe), NM for settlers and non-Native people that returns wealth to Indigenous communities in their homelands. When you pay into the OPLT, you are directly funding local Indigenous groups, ensuring that community-based initiatives, mutual aid efforts, and wellness projects in O’ga P’ogeh Owingeh can thrive.
Lightning Boy Foundation
Based in the Tewa Pueblos of Northern NM, this organization supports youth access to the arts with a focus on Traditional Hoop Dance. They offer thousands of hours of dance instruction yearly to Indigenous youth across Santa Fe, Sandoval, Rio Arriba, and Taos counties.
Indigenous Ways
IndigenousWays uplifts Indigenous Wisdom, traditions, and practices through educational resources, community events, and advocacy. Their bi-annual free festival held in the Santa Fe Railyard highlights local Indigenous artists, cultural workshops, and celebrates storytelling and art in our community.
UNBOUND
Final Show
UNBOUND: a performance ritual and community-powered project that works with dance, storytelling, poetics, and communal gatherings to uplift the lives, legacies, and stories of the artists’ Native ancestors who were captured and enslaved during Spanish colonization.
If you’re new to UNBOUND, join us for a tender introduction to a deep, heartwrenching history. One that illuminates hidden threads of connectivity in New Mexico.
