The Thanksgiving Tradition Continues!

Be prepared for the magical as Wise Fool New Mexico presents the 15th annual Circus Luminous: Clown Alchemy, a celebration of the power of laughterand love to heal, transform, and bring us together this holiday season. As always, Circus Luminous is packed with homegrown aerialists, acrobats, dancers and a hilarious crew of red-nosed clowns. With an array of amazing acts and original music, this all-new production will astound you and remind us all that laughter truly is the best medicine.

Bread and Puppet Theater comes to Wise Fool

Bread and Puppet Theater comes to Wise Fool in Santa Fe, Friday, November 16th with The Grasshopper Rebellion Circus, a large-scale puppet spectacle that explains and teaches riot and rebellion against intolerable situations with the help of state of the art paper-maché weaponry and the appropriate riotous Bread and Puppet Brass Band.

Bread and Puppet comes to Santa Fe as part of a 14 week tour across the country and back with The Grasshopper Rebellion Circus and The Basic Byebye Show.

After the performance Bread and Puppet will serve its famous free sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread and Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread and Puppet Press – will be for sale.

Friday, November 16, 7PM Bread and Puppet Presents The Grasshopper Rebellion Circus at Wise Fool, 1131 Siler Rd B, Santa Fe, NM.

Saturday morning, November 17th, 9AM – 12 PM, the Bread and Puppet company will lead a workshop in the ancient street theater form, “Cantastoria,” focusing on its applications for powerful, portable activist street performance. Participants are encourage to bring something that makes noise: car keys, trumpet, egg beater, paper bag, etc.

Admission for both events is by donation -- $10-$25 suggested, no one turned away for lack of funds.
