Wise Fool Performances
In medieval times, advisors to the kings were often unable to address controversial matters without fear of retribution. However, the court jester, or "wise fool," could draw upon disarming spectacle and humor to inform the views of those in power. Wise Fool continues this tradition today, engaging audiences with breathtaking artistry while raising awareness around issues ranging from water use and immigration to domestic violence.
Wise Fool May Day Community Art Action
Come join us in creating an outdoor theatre, procession, and all around extravaganza on May Day 2010. We'll be creating a space for everyone to be a part of the big picture so if you want to plan, brainstorm, organize, fundraise, give money and/or supplies, sculpt, sew, paper-mache, staple, build, paint, cook food, usher, clean up, sing songs, play music, or dance please join us!

Coup de Circ
An inspiring tale of compassion and rebellion set in the fantastical world of traveling circus. A mythic purple horse in love with a dancing bird, a delusional ringmaster determined to become rich and famous, breathtaking aerialists, acrobatic mayhem and giant puppetry abound in this delightful farce. Circus Luminous
An annual "new circus" extravaganza featuring "breath-defying" circus acts created and performed by Wise Fool New Mexico combined with dance by Moving People Dance Theatre and original music. Circus Luminous has become a Santa Fe family tradition for Thanksgiving Weekend, playing to sold out audiences at the historic Lensic Performing Arts Center since 2002.
